American mezzo-soprano Wendy Hoffman (Minnesota, 1960) was a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She performed in theatres throughout America and won numerous prizes there, e.g. at the Metropolitan, the Santa Fe and the San Francisco Operas. After a brilliant career at the Metropolitan Opera and numerous concerts worldwide, Wendy Hoffman has passed away in 2005 owing to the effects of a grave illness.
