Soprano Vera Dobrolubowa is a National Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Artist of the Ukraine. Born in Siberia, she has devoted herself to music since childhood. In 1986, she graduated with honors from The Glinka's Gorky State Conservatory, with a diploma in opera, chamber music and singing education. She is a laureate of several international vocal competitions, including the Maria Callas International Vocal Competition, the Glinka XIII All-Union Vocal Competition and the Queen Elisabeth Competition. She was also awarded with the title of Laureate of the Irina Arkhipova Fund in 2006 for her great contribution to the advancement of classical music and for the support of its development in the Ivanovo Region. In the same year, she became a soloist of the Yaroslavl State Philharmonia. Her repertoire is varied and many-sided: Tchaikovsky, Rachhmaninov, vocal chamber music compositions of German and French composers, opera arias, etc. In 2001-2005 she accepted an offer to work in public service. She was vice governor of the Ivanovo Region and chief of the Department of Culture and Art of the same region.
