Leland Ko est titulaire d’un bachelor en littérature allemande de Princeton, d’un master en musique de la Juilliard School et d’un Artist Diploma du New England Conservatory. Il a remporté le Premier Prix du Concours de l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, et des Concert Artists Guild Louis & Susan Meisel Competition et Walter W. Naumburg International Cello Competition. Il s’est produit aux États-Unis et à l’étranger (Carnegie Hall, Maison symphonique de Montréal). Ses engagements récents l’ont mené à la Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts, à Pro Musica San Miguel de Allende et au Weill Recital Hall du Carnegie Hall. En tant que chambriste, il a joué au Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, au Palm Beach State College et au Merkin Hall (Kaufman Music Center, New York). Il est le violoncelliste du Trio Rai, de l’OAK Trio et du Phaidros Quartet.
