Nikola Diskic commence sa formation à l’École de Musique Stankovic de sa ville natale, puis, dès 2007, il poursuit ses études de chant à la Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst de Mannheim, auprès de Snežana Stamenkovic. Il se perfectionne également avec Biserka Cvejic à Belgrade, Rudolf Piernay à Londres (Guildhall School) et Philip Kang à Séoul (Université Nationale). Depuis 2009, il a participé à plusieurs productions lyriques au Théâtre National de Mannheim : Ariadne auf Naxos (un laquais), Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Fiorello, dirigé par Alois Seidelmeyer) ; Carmen (Morales) et Lohengrin (le héraut d’armes), tous les deux sous la direction de Dan Ettinger. Entre 2005 et 2007, il remporte plusieurs prix lors de concours nationaux ou internationaux dans son pays d’origine.
